About & history

About the Tillamook Creamery

An iconic design to pay tribute to our humble roots.

Designed by iconic Seattle-based architect duo, Olson-Kundig, the Tillamook Creamery is made to look like a modern barn. The big windows let in plenty of light and give our guests views of the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Frequently asked questions

What are the hours of operation?

The Tillamook Creamery is open 7 days a week from 10am – 6pm and closed in observance of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please check the site regularly for early closure updates.

Where can I park?

There are two large parking lots to accommodate RVs, buses, and general parking; however, overnight parking for RVs is prohibited. During the summer months there will be large wayfinder signs to direct traffic to our summer overflow parking lot adjacent to the main lot and a pedestrian crosswalk to take you straight to the Tillamook Creamery.

Does Tillamook Creamery offer reservations?

Reservations are not required for general entrance, self-guided tours, or the Dining Hall. However, we strongly recommend booking reservations for our Tillamook Creamery premium experiences, especially for large parties or catered events.

What’s the address for the Tillamook Creamery?

The Tillamook Creamery is located on the Oregon Coast! Address 4165 Highway 101 North Tillamook, OR 97141.

Can I bring my pet on the tour of the Tillamook Creamery?

Due to health and safety regulations, pets are not allowed inside the Tillamook Creamery. Service animals are permitted. However, pets are more than welcome in the outside seating area.

What accessibility features does the Tillamook Creamery offer?

We want to ensure that our Creamery visitors center is a welcoming place for all guests, including those with visible and non-visible disabilities. This year, we installed hearing loops to offer guests in the hearing loss community clearer communication. Additionally, we are offering new sensory kits that include noise-reducing headsets, a squeezable loaf toy, branded sunglasses, sensory/emotion cards, a fidget popper, and a coloring kit for kids to enhance the experience of neurodivergent guests.

The Tillamook Creamery is also wheelchair accessible, and we have wheelchairs available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. We’re continually building accessibility support so that all guests leave with smiles and stories to share. For any questions about accommodations that would allow visitors with disabilities to enjoy the visitors center, please contact us here.

Is the Tillamook Creamery wheelchair accessible?

Yes! The Tillamook Creamery is wheelchair accessible. We also have wheelchairs available to rent on a first-come, first-serve basis.

DO YOU OFFER ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS?

You’ll find 12 Tesla Supercharger stations in the overflow parking lot and 4 general EV charging stations located in the main parking lot. Available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Where can I buy Tillamook Cheese Curds?

Tillamook Cheddar Cheese Curds are exclusively sold at the Tillamook Creamery, Tillamook Market (at the PDX Airport), and seasonally in our Online Shop. Tillamook Cheese Curds aren’t available in grocery stores because they lose their freshness quickly. Come visit us at the Tillamook Creamery or Tillamook Market and try some samples, or visit our Online Shop to have them shipped fresh from our factory directly to your home!

Why did you rebuild your facility in Tillamook?

The old building for visitors in Tillamook was more than 60 years old. It held a lot of memories for us, but we are excited to have a new space that is bigger, more interactive, and has more unique features for our guests to enjoy. The new facility also includes much needed “back of house” upgrades to help the Tillamook Creamery run more smoothly.
