That’s why being good stewards of cows and farms, of people and products, of our communities and the environment, lies at the heart of everything we do. 

Our proof? Tillamook is a Certified B Corporation® (B Corp™), underscoring our deep dedication to our six Stewardship Commitments — and reiterating our resolve to keeping Tillamook’s legacy strong.   

What’s a B Corp? A Certified B Corporation meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. It’s a rigorous certification process, measuring a company’s performance in five categories: governance, workers, customers, community and the environment. 

None of these concepts are new to us. Stewardship has been part of our journey at Tillamook since day one. When the Tillamook County Creamery Association was created in 1909, our farmer-owners built everything with a long-term outlook — to ensure that farms and communities are here for generations to come. And that’s still true today; in fact, in recent years we’ve doubled down on our commitment to Stewardship and accelerated the work in all aspects of our business. 

Tillamook has been around for 100+ years, and we want to be around for a hundred more. In order to do this, we need to make sure our farms are thriving, our communities are strong, our environment is resilient, and our people and animals are well taken care of.  

Here’s the thing: when businesses are intentional about meeting social and environmental standards — and focus on more than just the bottom line — we can all effect change while making ourselves more competitive along the way. That’s what the B Corp movement is all about, using business as a force for good. At this point, there are more than 3,500 B Corps™ in 150 industries and 74 countries around the world — and Tillamook is proud to join this global movement.
