Chipotle Mushroom Swiss Burger

This easy-to-make Chipotle Mushroom Swiss Burger recipe is sure to be a hit with the whole family. Made with Tillamook Swiss, mushrooms, and chipotle peppers, it's a winner.

Ingredients

Burger

  • 2 lbs 80% Lean ground beef

  • 1 lb Ground pork

  • 1½ tsp Salt

  • ½ tsp Pepper

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

  • ½ tsp Onion powder

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 8 Hamburger buns

  • 2 cups Fresh arugula

  • 8Tillamook Swiss Cheese Slices

  • 2 lbs Cremini mushrooms, thickly sliced

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Chipotle Mayo

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise

  • 2 large Garlic cloves, finely minced

  • 1 small Chipotle pepper from can, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp Sauce from can

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.

  2. In a large bowl combine ground meat along with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and worcestershire sauce.

  3. Using your hands form 8, ½-inch thick patties and set aside.

  4. In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add in mushrooms and stir, sauteeing for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  5. In a small bowl mix together ingredients for chipotle mayo until fully combined.

  6. Set prepared patties on preheated grill. Allow patties to cook for 2½ minutes before turning. Once turned, cook for another 2½ minutes. Continue flipping until cooked to desired doneness.

  7. On each patty set one Tillamook Swiss Cheese Slice and close lid to melt cheese. Keep closed for 1 minute until cheese is melted, remove patties and set aside.

  8. Prepare the buns by spreading the chipotle mayo on the inside of each bun. Add the prepared patties and top with sauteed mushrooms, arugula and top bun.
