Cubano Cheeseburger
Top off your burger with a thick cut of our Farmstyle Swiss Slices and watch the magic happen.
Ingredients
4 toasted sesame seed buns, lightly toasted
2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1.5 lb ground beef, molded into 4 round patties
2 tsp kosher salt
4 slices Tillamook Swiss Cheese Slices
¼ cup sliced dill pickles
4 slices ham
On opposite sides, spread mustard and mayonnaise over the inside of your toasted buns and set aside.
Season each side of burger patties with an even amount of salt and cook over a hot grill for 7 minutes, flipping occasionally.
Once the burger is almost completely cooked (around the five-minute mark), melt a slice of Swiss cheese over each patty and remove from heat.
Carefully stack your cooked patty, slices of ham, and pickles onto your bun and serve.
TIP: This burger is more dependent on intense, savory flavors than big luxurious layers, so we urge you all to find nice ham (even thickly sliced prosciutto) for your sandwich build. And, as always, remember to make your burger patties about ¼ as large as your bun because cooking out some of the moisture will cause the pattie to shrink.
