Platanos en tentación topped with Tillamook Holiday Sugar Cookie Ice Cream

Plátanos en Tentación is a comforting and nostalgic treat that brings a taste of tradition to any table. This version combines buttery, caramelized plantains with a fun rum flambé that makes it both exciting and unforgettable for guests. Topped with Tillamook Holiday Sugar Cookie Ice Cream, each bite blends warm, tropical flavors with a cool, festive finish!

Ingredients

Share:
  1. Melt the butter in a large saute pan over medium heat, then add in your brown sugar and stir and let this bubble.

  2. Then add in your plantains, cinnamon and vanilla. Cook for a few minutes, flipping them often, then add in the rum and using a lighter, carefully ignite it and flambé. Once it goes out, your plantains are ready.

  3. Plate your plantains in individual cups / plates for your guests and top it off with Tillamook Holiday Sugar Cookie Ice Cream and a little bit of the syrup from the plantains.

    1. Tip: For a busy host, prep as much as possible the day before! You can cook and flambé the plantains ahead of time, then just warm them up in the oven and add the ice cream right before serving. I also love setting up a small dessert station with the ice cream and toppings nearby makes serving super easy and interactive.
